SCERT Nagaland apologises for misspelling Khiamniungan tribe's name in textbook

Dimapur: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Nagaland, on Monday issued an apology for a spelling error in the name of the Khiamniungan tribe that appeared in the Nagaland Heritage Studies (Alternative English) Class 8 textbook.
In a letter addressed to the president of the Khiamniungan Students' Union, Noklak, the SCERT stated that the tribe's name was incorrectly printed as "Khiamniungam" instead of "Khiamniungan."
The council acknowledged the mistake and described it as unintentional, despite efforts made during the preparation and review of the textbook.
