Guwahati, Sept. 21 -- The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an advisory urging customers to complete essential branch-related banking work ahead of a three-day nationwide strike scheduled from September 28 to 30, 2026.

The strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) as part of its ongoing agitation. The union forum had earlier organised a nationwide strike on September 11 and has announced further protest action, including a continuous strike beginning October 26.

SBI has advised customers to complete transactions requiring branch visits before the strike and use digital and alternative banking channels for routine financial needs.
