Guwahati, April 29 -- Located in the eastern Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh, Sangti Valley lies around 15 km from Dirang in the West Kameng district. Unlike the densely forested terrain that dominates much of the state, Sangti stands out for its wide, open valley system an expansive stretch of grasslands carved by the meandering Sangti River. Sitting at an altitude of roughly 1,800 meters, the valley is framed by pine-covered slopes and distant snow-clad peaks, forming a transition zone between temperate forests and alpine ecosystems.
