Rezina Mihu becomes first from Arunachal elected IMI Vice Chairperson
Itanagar, Aug. 30 -- Rezina Mihu of Arunachal Pradesh has been elected Vice Chairperson of the Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), a national body working to promote sustainable mountain development across India's Himalayan and other mountain states.
Mihu is the first person from Arunachal Pradesh to hold the position.
The results of the IMI Governing Council Election 2026 were announced on Saturday by Returning Officer Dr Satyadeep S Chhetri. STS Lepcha of Uttarakhand was elected Chairperson, while Mihu was elected Vice Chairperson for the 2026-29 term.
