Guwahati, Aug. 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled his vision of 'Saptadhara' or Seven Streams of Power, placing manufacturing, agriculture, technology, infrastructure, defence, the green economy and India's soft power at the centre of his roadmap for the country's next phase of development.

Addressing the nation from the Red Fort on Independence Day, Modi said India must use the strength of these seven sectors over the next five to seven years to achieve what remained unfinished over the previous five to seven decades.

He said the framework would also seek to channel the energy and potential of India's youth towards nation-building.
