Over 7,800 forms distributed on day one of Meghalaya voter roll revision
Guwahati, July 1 -- More than 7,800 enumeration forms were issued on Tuesday as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls got under way in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills districts.
Election officials have launched the exercise across all 898 polling stations in East Khasi Hills, covering 15 Assembly constituencies.
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are visiting households to distribute the forms, which will later be collected. The entire process is scheduled to be completed by July 29.
