NIA charges 11 in alleged terror conspiracy case across Assam, Tripura, Bengal

Guwahati: A chargesheet has been submitted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against 11 individuals in a terror conspiracy case involving a faction linked to the banned Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
The filing was made before the NIA Special Court in Guwahati under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
Investigators said the accused were part of a network operating under Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK), a JMB-linked module, which allegedly worked to spread extremist ideology across West Bengal and northeastern regions, including Assam and Tripura.
