Guwahati: A candidate from Nagpur preparing to appear for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination was left shocked after the National Testing Agency (NTA) mistakenly assigned him an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, despite opting for a location in Maharashtra.

The student, Abdullah, discovered the discrepancy upon receiving his admit card for the medical entrance test scheduled for June 21. The unexpected overseas allotment triggered concern within the family, as international travel documents and visa arrangements could not be secured within such a limited timeframe.
