Guwahati, Aug. 26 -- Nagaland Police is preparing to introduce an online complaint portal within the next two weeks, aimed at making it easier for citizens to file grievances and track the progress of their complaints.

Director General of Police Rupin Sharma announced the initiative on Tuesday during a state-level meeting on violence against women and children.

The proposed portal will serve as a common platform for registering complaints, regardless of whether a matter ultimately falls under criminal or civil jurisdiction. Once a complaint is filed, the concerned police station will assign it to an officer for an initial assessment.

After the preliminary inquiry, the complaint will be categorised according to its nature. If the matter...
