Dimapur, July 31 -- Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Thursday called for close coordination between government departments and civil society organisations to ensure inclusive and sustainable development.

Interacting with civil society organisations, government departments and beneficiaries of various government schemes at the Chumoukedima DC's office complex during his visit to the district, Yadav spoke about the vital role of civil society in governance, community development and maintaining social harmony.

He stated that development becomes more meaningful and sustainable when government institutions and civil society work together with a shared sense of responsibility.
