Nagaland CEO urges parties to appoint booth-level agents for SIR exercise
Dimapur, Aug. 6 -- Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhagyashree Banayat on Thursday asked political parties to appoint booth-level agents (BLAs), if they have not done so yet, for the successful conduct of the SIR in the state.
During a meeting with representatives of political parties in Kohima, the CEO emphasised the importance of appointing BLAs and explained various aspects of the SIR, including training, printing of enumeration forms, and other processes involved in the exercise.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the BJP, INC, and Naga People's Front.
The qualifying date for the SIR in Nagaland is October 1, while preparations, training, and printing have been scheduled from August 5 to August 14.
