Dimapur, Oct. 31 -- India's leading private oil and gas producer Vedanta Oil & Gas Limited (VOGL) reiterated that it would unlock the Northeast's rich hydrocarbon potential.

The company made the commitment at the North East Energy Summit 2026 - Nagaland Energy Chapter - at Chumoukedima on Friday.

In his special address, Nagaland power and parliamentary affairs minister KG Kenye urged the participating government departments, industry representatives, public sector enterprises and financial institutions to identify priority investment opportunities, prepare viable projects, improve government-industry coordination and establish practical mechanisms to follow up on commitments made during the summit.
