Dimapur, Oct. 30 -- Consul at the Consulate General of the United States of America in Kolkata, Noah Hogan, paid a visit to Nagaland's Kohima Deputy Commissioner B Henok Buchem.

During the visit on Wednesday, Hogan briefed Buchem on the planned visit of the US Ambassador to Nagaland for the Hornbill Festival, an official report said on Thursday.

During the meeting, Hogan said the US Consulate General in Kolkata oversees a vast jurisdiction covering Jharkhand, Bihar and the entire Northeast region, primarily focusing on the welfare and safety of American citizens visiting these areas.
