Dimapur: Two persons have been arrested on charges of kidnapping and extorting a businessman in Nagaland, the Dimapur Commissionerate of Police said in a release on Friday.

The release stated that an FIR was lodged at East Police Station by Ruhon Das, a resident of Sematilla, Dimapur, on April 21, alleging that he was followed and wrongfully restrained by two unidentified persons near the Murgipatti area while returning home after closing his shop at Hongkong Market at around 7 pm on April 20.

He was then forcibly taken towards the highway near the Dimapur Municipal Council office by the accused. They also took the victim's mobile phone and compelled him to disclose his Google Pay password. ...
