Dimapur: Dimapur Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by a senior police officer to investigate a recent rape case involving a minor girl, citing the sensitive nature of the matter.

According to a statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), the victim's guardians filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Dimapur Women Police Station on May 25. Following the complaint, police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
