India, March 23 -- Water supply across Kohima town has been disrupted following a breakage in a main pipeline at the Jotsoma Reserve Forest area, officials said on Monday.

According to the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Urban Division, the disruption is likely to continue for the next few days, affecting several parts of the municipal area. Repair work is currently underway to restore normal supply.

In a statement, SDO-I Ahito Awomi said all necessary measures are being taken to expedite repairs and resume water supply at the earliest, while urging residents to bear with the temporary inconvenience.
