Dimapur, July 1 -- The first phase of Census 2027, focusing on house listing operations, began across Nagaland on Wednesday and will continue until July 30.

The exercise commenced with the house listing of Lok Bhavan in Kohima, the official residence of Governor Nand Kishore Yadav. The enumeration was carried out by a team of census officials headed by Kohima Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer B Henok Buchem, following the prescribed guidelines.
