Dimapur: Kohima Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem on Thursday announced a Rs 2 lakh scholarship fund for meritorious girl students under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme, aimed at supporting girls' education in the district.

Under the scheme, titled Educate Her, Empower Her, 20 girl students will receive a one-time scholarship of Rs 10,000 each.

The scholarship is open to permanent residents of Kohima district who passed the Class X or Class XII examinations in 2026 with at least 60 per cent marks.
