Dimapur, Aug. 22 -- Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) Major General Harinder Singh Mavi on Saturday visited flood-affected areas of Tizit in Mon district to assess the impact of the recent floods on residents and essential infrastructure.

During the visit, Mavi directed Assam Rifles authorities to provide timely and need-based assistance to affected residents, with priority given to those most in need.

He visited Holy Trinity School in Tizit and assessed the damage caused to its infrastructure. The officer also met school authorities to understand the immediate requirements for repairing and restoring the affected facilities.
