Aizawl, April 10 -- The All Mizoram Village Council Association (AMVCA) has lauded the state government for successfully securing and distributing the entire Rs 362 crore allocated by the 15th Finance Commission as Rural Local Body (RLB) grants for community development.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference here, AMVCA president F.P. Laikhama said that Rs 362 crore was earmarked as RLB grants for Village Councils (VCs) for the 2021-2026 period, and the entire fund has been received by the VCs.
He highlighted that the final installment was credited in full on March 28, well within the 15th Finance Commission's designated period.
