Aizawl, Sept. 17 -- Mizoram is set to host the Anthurium Festival from October 1 to 3 as part of efforts to attract tourists and showcase the state's tourism potential, officials said on Wednesday.

The three-day festival will be organised at Reiek and Ailawng in Mamit district, around 13 km from Aizawl.

Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review preparations for the event. He said tourism in Mizoram has witnessed significant growth, with the rising influx of visitors contributing to local economic activity and benefiting shopkeepers, taxi operators, tea-stall owners and other businesses.
