Aizwal, May 7 -- Mizoram and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New Delhi on Wednesday for the rollout of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0, according to sources.

Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Paatil participated virtually from his office, while Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, along with state Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister Lalnilawma and other officials, joined the event through video conference from Aizawl.

The agreement was signed by PHE Secretary Zodingpuii on behalf of the Mizoram government and Joint Secretary Swati Meena Naik from the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, officials said.
