Aizawl, Oct. 23 -- Mizoram's Public Works Department (PWD) will begin floating tenders for 45 roads under the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV) from November, officials said on Thursday.

The announcement was made at a review meeting on PMGSY works in Aizawl, chaired by Vanlalzuala Chenkual, PWD Chief Engineer (Planning) and empowered officer of the Mizoram Rural Road Development Agency (MiRRDA).

PWD Engineer-in-Chief and MiRRDA Chief Executive Officer David Sapzova said the review of ongoing and completed projects was necessary ahead of the rollout of PMGSY-IV. He directed officials to expedite pending works and ensure the maintenance of roads and related infrastructure.
