Aizawl, Oct. 30 -- Mizoram Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar on Thursday said that the state is planning to develop Aizawl and its surrounding areas into a tourism circuit at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.

He said that the state has sought greater Centre support for tourism projects in the state and discussed wider promotion of the Aizawl International Half Marathon (AIHM) 2027 during a series of meetings with senior Union government officials in Delhi.

During his meeting with Bhuvnesh Kumar, Hmar highlighted tourism as a key avenue for revenue generation and economic development in Mizoram, which has limited large-scale industries.
