Aizawl, July 18 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday underscored the media's critical role in combating misinformation and ensuring the dissemination of accurate election-related information during the All India Media Conference held in New Delhi.

The conference brought together journalists and election officials from across the country to discuss key aspects of election management, the poll panel's recent initiatives, and the media's responsibility in strengthening democratic processes through factual and credible reporting.
