Aizawl, April 25 -- The Mizoram government is set to host a tourism conclave in October this year to boost the state's tourism sector, an official statement said.

State Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar on Friday met officials of NITI Aayog in New Delhi to discuss plans for the proposed conclave, the statement said.

The meeting, held at Mizoram House in Chanakyapuri, also focused on organising a pre-conclave session in the national capital next month to lay the groundwork for the main event, it added.

The NITI Aayog delegation was led by Deputy Director General Swapnalee Bhattacharya.
