Meghalaya to get Rs 3,214 crore road infrastructure push

Guwahati: Road connectivity in Meghalaya is set to improve with the launch of six projects worth Rs 3,214 crore during the North East India Infrastructure Summit & Exhibition (NEIINFRA) 2026.
The planned works cover the development of four national highways along with improvements to two existing road links, with the objective of making travel easier and supporting economic activity across different parts of the state.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari is expected to take part in the summit, where foundation stones for the projects will be laid.
