Guwahati: The Meghalaya government has stepped up surveillance and containment efforts following the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) cases in parts of the state, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, Sangma stated that authorities are closely tracking the situation and have activated necessary response measures to prevent further transmission of the disease among pig populations.
