India, March 11 -- The Government of Meghalaya, led by Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, was conferred the Good Governance Award at the Water Transversality Global Awards and Conclave 2026, held on 6th March at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

The award was presented by the Chief Guest, Shri Om Birla, Hon'ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha, in recognition of Meghalaya's exemplary governance initiatives and its integrated approach towards sustainable development. On behalf of the Chief Minister, the award was received by Mr. Albert Chang, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Government of Meghalaya.
