Guwahati, June 30 -- The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will begin across Meghalaya on June 30, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) launching a month-long door-to-door verification drive to update the state's voter database.

The exercise, which will continue until July 29, is part of the Election Commission's nationwide effort to ensure electoral rolls remain accurate, updated and free of errors ahead of future elections.

During the verification drive, BLOs will visit households in all 60 Assembly constituencies to distribute self-enumeration forms to electors whose names were included in the 2005 electoral rolls.
