Guwahati, Sept. 12 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police has arrested a sixth leader of the Khasi Students' Union (KSU) in connection with violence during a black flag bike rally on August 19.

Banjop Dkhar, president of the KSU Shillong Mihngi Circle, was arrested near NEIGRIHMS on Friday night, a KSU leader said on Saturday. He is expected to be produced before a court.

With Dkhar's arrest, the total number of KSU leaders taken into custody in the case has risen to six.
