India, March 23 -- A young woman from Wapung Chnong village in East Jaintia Hills district, who had been reported missing in Ahmedabad since March 15, has been traced and is on her way home.

The case came to light after the woman's family approached the Jantia National Council (JNC), which subsequently filed an FIR on March 19 at the Ladrymbai Police Outpost. Acting on the complaint, the East Jaintia Hills police launched a search operation and successfully located the woman.
