Manipur strengthens emergency response with upgraded ERSS-112
Imphal, July 3 -- The Manipur Police has upgraded the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India, providing citizens with seamless access to multiple emergency services through a single helpline number -112.
According to a press statement issued by M. Pradip Singh, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, the enhanced system integrates key emergency services, allowing citizens to reach the police, fire services, ambulance, women's helpline, and child helpline by dialing a single number. The initiative is aimed at ensuring faster, coordinated, and round-the-clock emergency assistance across the state.
