Imphal, April 10 -- Authorities in Manipur have partially relaxed curfew measures in Imphal West, Imphal East, and Thoubal districts following a reassessment of the law-and-order situation.

According to orders issued on Thursday, April 9, by the respective district magistrates, people will be allowed to move out between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., but only under strict safety regulations.

Movement outside this period remains completely barred, with restrictions continuing from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day.

The easing of restrictions follows earlier prohibitory directions issued this week under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in connection with tensions triggered by the Tronglaobi incident.
