Manipur CM Yumnam Khemchand inaugurates state's first mechanised rotary parking facility in Imphal
Imphal, Aug. 22 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on August 22 inaugurated the state's first mechanised rotary parking facility at Nagamapal near Chungkham Leirak Machin in central Imphal.
Developed under the Imphal Smart City Mission at an estimated cost of Rs 8.4 crore, the automated parking facility is aimed at addressing the city's growing parking shortage and easing traffic congestion in the capital.
The vertical parking system can accommodate 42 four-wheelers and 70 two-wheelers through four automated towers. The facility has been designed for round-the-clock operation and is equipped with computerised monitoring, backup power generators and digital cashless payment systems.
