India, April 4 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday announced that the state Government would frame a comprehensive transfer policy for medical staff after reviewing healthcare services during his visit to Jiribam district.
The announcement followed an inspection of Jiri District Hospital at Ningshingkhul, where the Chief Minister assessed infrastructure, service delivery and staffing. While noting that services were largely satisfactory, he flagged a shortage of manpower and said measures would be taken to address the issue. He also indicated that doctors' quarters would be upgraded to improve working conditions.
