Manipur CM flags off 13 mobile medical units to improve healthcare access in hill districts

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday flagged off 13 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) to improve healthcare access in remote hill districts of the state.
The units, launched at the Directorate of Health Services in Lamphel, Imphal, will operate under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) and the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA).
The initiative will cover Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal districts, with the mobile units providing healthcare services in geographically isolated areas.
