India, March 13 -- The 12th Manipur State Assembly on Thursday approved 12 Demands for Grants totaling Rs 8,208.80 crore for key departments during the fourth day of its 7th Session for the 2026-27 financial year.

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, who also serves as the Leader of the House, presented the demands for discussion and voting.

The approved grants cover important sectors including Finance, Education, Co-operation, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary services with Dairy Farming, Election, Minor Irrigation, Panchayat, Sericulture, Water Resources, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, and Relief and Disaster Management.
