Imphal, Sept. 19 -- Manipur Police have arrested a man and his stepdaughter, both allegedly associated with the Kangleipak Communist Party (People's War Group) or KCP (PWG), following the recovery of live hand grenades in Imphal East and an investigation into an earlier explosive threat at Shija Hospital in Imphal West.

According to police, a live hand grenade was recovered on Saturday morning from the gate of a resident, Yumkhaibam Firoz Khan, at Khergao Awang Sabal Leikai in Imphal East. The grenade had reportedly been secured to the gate with an iron chain.

A laminated press note bearing the names Jan Mohhemad, Haji Dil Mohahmad and Amar Jan was also found alongside the explosive. Police said no insurgent group had so far claimed res...
