Imphal: Personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Monday apprehended two persons with 84 grams of suspected heroin at Imphal airport during a routine anti-drug operation, officials said.
The accused, identified as Aslam Khan (39) and Chesam Amir (31), both residents of Imphal West district, were intercepted during luggage screening while attempting to board a flight to Bengaluru. The contraband, suspected to be heroin, was recovered from their possession, according to a Manipur Police bulletin issued on Tuesday.
Following initial formalities, the two were handed over to the police for further investigation.
