Manipur: Six arrested as security forces intensify crackdown on insurgency, drug trafficking
Imphal, Sept. 9 -- Security forces in Manipur conducted a series of coordinated operations across multiple districts over the past 24 hours, arresting six people and seizing substantial quantities of suspected narcotics. The operations, involving state police, central forces and an anti-drug organisation, targeted alleged insurgent activities, extortion networks and drug trafficking operations.
In Imphal West, a joint team of the Thoubal District Police Commando (CDO-Thoubal), Imphal West Commando (CDO-Imphal West) and 46 Assam Rifles arrested an alleged active cadre of the banned Kangleipak Yaol Kanba Lup (KYKL).
