Imphal, Oct. 28 -- Security forces arrested an alleged cadre of the Kuki National Front (Military Council) (KNF-MC) and seized foreign-made weapons, ammunition and suspected narcotics during an operation in Manipur's Churachandpur district on Monday, officials said on Tuesday.

The intelligence-led operation was conducted jointly by Churachandpur District Police, the 129 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Assam Rifles near M. Songgel in Kingkin village.

During the operation, security personnel intercepted a suspicious white Bolero vehicle and searched it. They recovered a foreign-made AK-series rifle, a foreign-made MA1 rifle and 240 rounds of assorted ammunition.
