Imphal: Following the nationwide release of the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on June 20, the Manipur government announced that Rs 1.36 crore has been credited to the bank accounts of 6,806 eligible farmers across the state through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event held in Tarakeswar, West Bengal. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh watched the live telecast of the programme and welcomed the continued support being extended to the farming community through the flagship central scheme.
