Imphal, July 2 -- Security forces intensified anti-drug and counter-insurgency operations across Manipur on July 1, resulting in the seizure of more than 2 kg of suspected heroin in Imphal East and the arrest of two active valley-based insurgent cadres in Imphal West. Simultaneously, authorities continued large-scale security measures to safeguard key highways and vulnerable areas across the state.

According to police, a coordinated series of operations carried out on June 30 and July 1 targeted narcotics trafficking, insurgent networks and criminal activities, leading to multiple arrests and the recovery of significant contraband.
