Imphal, Oct. 27 -- Manipur Police have arrested one person following an alleged attempt to attack Art, Culture and Tourism Minister Khuraijam Loken during his visit to Wangoi on Sunday.

The accused, identified as Longjam Achouba of Wangoi Longjam Leikai, was arrested after an aide accompanying the minister lodged a complaint at Wangoi police station. The complaint alleged that a group of people attempted to pelt the minister's convoy with stones.

The incident occurred around 10.30 am while Loken, who represents the Wangoi Assembly constituency, was inspecting local infrastructure projects, including roads and drainage systems.
