Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on May 16, 2026, reviewed the ongoing infrastructure development works at the National Sports University (NSU) campus in Koutruk, Imphal West and reaffirmed the government's commitment to completing the project by the end of the year.

During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected the progress of construction activities and assured that work on the approach road leading to the campus would begin next week to improve connectivity. He also announced temporary measures to address water scarcity, including the digging of around six borewells and assured adequate security deployment to facilitate uninterrupted construction work.
