Imphal, April 30 -- Security forces arrested an alleged cadre of the National Revolutionary Front Manipur (NRFM) during an operation in Bishnupur district.

According to security officials, the arrested person was identified as Khwairakpam Doren Singh (42) of Upokpi Mayai Leikai under Bishnupur police station. A mobile phone with SIM card and a few arms were seized from his possession.

In separate operations carried out over the past 24 hours, security forces also recovered contraband drugs, arms and explosives from Tengnoupal and Chandel districts.
