Manipur: Naga MLAs seek action against Kuki militant leader, Deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen
Imphal, Aug. 31 -- Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, a prominent Naga leader, and several Naga lawmakers have urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to arrest a Kuki militant leader and take action against fellow Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen.
A total of nine Naga MLAs, including the Deputy Chief Minister, have demanded the immediate arrest of Thangboi Kipgen in a memorandum to the Union Home Minister, alleging that he leads the Kuki National Front-Progressive (KNF-P) and is the husband of Deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen, a prominent Kuki woman leader.
The Naga leaders accused Nemcha Kipgen's office of colluding with her husband's armed group. They sought official action against her, though they provided no written proof.
