Imphal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the main partner in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, and the Indian National Congress, the principal opposition party in the Manipur Legislative Assembly, have expressed sharply differing views on how to address the state's volatile border situation.

Manipur Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Bimol Akoijam sharply criticized the state government's inaction over the gruesome murder of six Liangmai Naga men, openly questioning its possible complicity.

Criticizing the authorities for their silence and failure to arrest anyone involved in the brutal killings, Akoijam demanded answers on whom the administration was attempting to protect.
