Imphal, Aug. 10 -- The newly formed Kuki Youth Organisation (KYO) has urged caution following Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh's announcement on free movement along highways during his visit to Kangpokpi on August 8.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the organisation said civilian safety and existing security protocols should take precedence over unilateral political announcements regarding movement along sensitive routes.

KYO claimed that declarations of unrestricted travel without coordination with security agencies could create confusion and potentially put civilians at risk. It urged individuals and groups not to bypass established security arrangements or enter sensitive buffer zones without official clearance.
